A California inspired homecoming

After years of living in the U.S., the homeowners returned to Taiwan, hoping to recreate the relaxed lifestyle they experienced in California. This home blends clean elegance with vibrant energy through a high-ceiling design, bold colors, and layered lighting. A feature wall in terracotta brick, paired with fresh white surfaces and accents of green and warm yellow, evokes the unique Spanish influence found in Californian architecture. The double-height living room creates a vertical connection between floors, allowing sunlight to flow freely and moments of family interaction to happen naturally. Instead of recessed ceiling lights, we introduced a variety of decorative lighting—wall sconces, pendants, and floor lamps—that not only add visual interest but also offer flexible ambiance for different moods.
